This conversation examines the ideas that gave rise to Keller Easterling’s Gift City, and the developmental arc of the project in relation to issues surrounding Seattle’s growth. The program will begin with an introduction to the project by Emily Zimmerman, associate curator of programs. Keller Easterling will join the second part of the conversation via Skype.
The program is presented as part of the the Urban@UW and Simpson Center micro-seminar “Re-Imagining Urban Scholarship: Differencing the Data.” The six-day micro-seminar explores how we might re-read cities by acknowledging and differentiating the data upon which we build our knowledge.
